REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE BETWEEN MALAYSIANS AND NON-MALAYSIANS ABROAD

Application Procedure

Applicants are required to go to the NRD counter/Malaysian Consular office/Embassy with supporting documents:

  • Letter confirming marital status (single) for Malaysian citizen

If divorced:

  • Letter confirming marital status after divorce (original)

  • Decree nisi for absolute divorce (original & photocopy)

Confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wisma Putra, Putrajaya

Conditions of Application

  • According to the laws and conditions of marriage in the country where the marriage is registered
