Change of Address

CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION

• The applicant must come personally.
• Change of Address Form (available at NRD counters) has been completed.
• The address must be the address of permanent residence in Malaysia. Addresses of work place, office or post office box are not allowed.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES
 The applicant is required to go to the NRD Counter and bring along the following documents (original and copy):

• Identity Card.

CASH/ CREDIT CARD

• Citizen = RM 10.00

 (i) Change of address involving the issuance of a new card = RM 10.00
(ii) Change of address in the chip (updated) without involving the issuance of a new card = RM2.00

• Non-Citizen = RM 40.00

(i) Change of address involving the issuance of a new card = RM 10.00
(ii) Change of address in the chip (updated) without involving the issuance of a new card = RM2.00

Information : According to Regulation 15, National Registration Regulations 1990 (Amendment 2001), every  person is required to apply for a replacement Identity Card if he/she changes residence where he/she will reside for 90 days or more.
