MYKID

MyKid is chip-based children identity card or personal identification issued to children under the age of 12. The features of MyKid are similar to MyKad except that it does not include a photograph and thumbprint.
" My "  refers to "Malaysia" while " kid " is the abbreviation for " Kad Identiti Diri ". The personal identification number found in this MyKid will be used for all official matters from birth to death.

MyKid contains 3 main applications inside the chip:
•    NRD application(birth data)
•    Health information
•    Education information

ADVANTAGES OF MYKID

1.    Reducing the use of forms in all dealings with government or private agencies.
2.    Used in all dealings with departments or agencies such as hospitals or clinics for health examination, schooling, etc.
3.    Easily carried due to its small size.
4.    Has security features to prevent misuse.
5.    Chip-based technology where information can be read on the card or in the chip. Information in the chip can also be easily updated.
6.    Striking and interesting design.

MYKID APPLICATION

All children with Malaysian citizenship under the age of 12 can apply for the MyKid.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES  

i.    For the registration of new birth, MyKid will be processed during the registration of birth application.
ii.    For lost/damaged replacement application, applicants need to complete Form JPN.MYKID01

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
1.    Original birth certificate of child
2.    Personal identification documents of applicant (mother or father)

No fee is charged.
