 Confirmation of Status
Application for Confirmation of Citizenship Status is processed and completed within the following period from the date the complete application is received by NRD Headquarters in Putrajaya
 
Note:
The 6-month period is not applicable to cases that have to be referred to other agencies.

2.

 Citizenship Application
Application to become a Citizen of Malaysia is processed within the following period from the date the complete application is received by the Headquarters before submission to the Ministry of Home Affairs for a decision.
 
Note:
The 12-month period is not applicable to cases that have to be referred to other agencies and it also does not include the period needed to obtain a decision from the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as the Certificate issuance process.

Renunciation of Citizenship

a)Application for the Registration of the Citizenship Renunciation Declaration which is submitted at the counter of the NRD Headquarters in Putrajaya is processed and completed within the following period from the date the complete application is received.

b)Application for the Renunciation of Citizenship which is submitted through the Consul Office abroad and State NRD Office is processed and completed within the following period from the date the complete application is received by the NRD Headquarters in Putrajaya. 

30 working days

Replacement of Citizenship Certificate
Application for replacement of Citizenship Certificate is processed and completed within the following period from the date the complete application is received by the NRD Headquarters in Putrajaya. 

14 working days

5.

Extract of Citizenship Certificate
Application for extract of the Citizenship Certificate is processed and completed within the following period from the date the complete application is received by the NRD Headquarters in Putrajaya.

6.

Search of the Citizenship Register
Application for a search of the Citizenship Register is processed and completed within the following period from the date the complete application is received by the NRD Headquarters in Putrajaya.

7.

Certified Copy of Citizenship Certificate
Application for a certified copy of the Citizenship Certificate is processed and completed within the following period from the date the complete application is received by the NRD Headquarters in Putrajaya.

8.

Alteration of Particulars of Citizenship Certificate
Application for alteration of the particulars of the Citizenship Certificate is processed and completed within the following period from the date the complete application is received by the NRD Headquarters in Putrajaya.

9. Extract of the W Certificate (Born oversea)

Applications for an extract of the W Certificate for child born oversea are processed and completed from the date the completed applications are received at NRD Headquarters, Putrajaya
