Division Information


Citizenship Division

The Citizenship Division is responsible to: -

  1. Process citizenship application Under Article 15(1), 15(2), 15A, 16, 19 and Article 30 of the Federal Constitution.
  2. Receive and process application for Confirmation of Citizenship (PTW) and Registration of a Child's Birth Outside the Federation (Form H) Under Article 14 of the Federal Constitution.
  3. Enter and verify citizenship records.
  4. Process and review application for amendments of particulars to citizenship documents and to generate search results, extract or certificated copy and replacement of citizenship certificate.
  5. Receive and process application for renunciation of citizenship under Article 23 of the Federal Constitution.
  6. Implement the process of revocation of citizenship under Articles 24, 25, 26 and 26A of the Federal Constitution.

Finance and Development Division

The Finance and Development Division is responsible for planning and implementing budget management policies, analyzing and preparing budget requirement estimate for NRD. This Division is also responsible to coordinate the procurement process at NRD and managing all financial matters such as salary/allowance payments and travel claims for JPN staff, processing payments for goods and services from the departments in JPN.

The sections in this division as follows:

  • Payment Section
  • Emolument Section

 



Human Resource Management Division

The Human Resource Management Division is responsible for organizational development, personnel management, and human resource development at NRD. In addition, HRM is also responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing psychology and counseling programs, management of NRD Library, and also as a secretariat of ‘Majlis Bersama Jabatan’ (MBJ).

There are four sections as follows:

  1. Human Capital Development Section
  2. Performance and Career Advancement Section
  3. Organizational Development Section
  4. Service and Personnel Management Section

 



MEKAR and Corporate Division

The MEKAR and Corporate Division is a new Division in JPN, established in the Year 2023. It combines two existing units, namely the MEKAR Unit from the Identification Card Division and the Corporate Communication Unit.

This Division is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of the MEKAR program in all NRD. In addition, all corporate communication roles, Commissioner of Oath, and UTC are also coordinated by this division .

There are two units as follows:

  • MEKAR Unit
  • Corporate Communication Unit



Investigation and Enforcement Division

The Investigation and Enforcement Division (BSK) is the division responsible for conducting investigations into cases that violate the acts and regulations of JPN. This division also conducts intelligence and surveillance on complaints of misuse of identity cards and JPN documents, as well as enforcement operations in the field, leading to arrests and prosecutions in court.

Additionally, this division performs biometric verification of security guards, issues Letters of Authorization for Submissions and Permission to Inspect Identity Cards, and supplies individual and family records to enforcement agencies in Malaysia.

There are three (3) sections under BSK as follows:

  1. Corporate, Administration, Counter and Records Section
  2. Investigation and Complaints Section
  3. Operations and Prosecution Section
Information and Communication Technology Management Division

The Information and Communication Technology Management Division (BTM) is the division responsible for providing information and communication technology (ICT) services for the use of JPN and related external agencies, in accordance with technological developments and current needs, aligned with the main business activities of JPN.

There are four (4) sections under BTM as follows:

  1. Technical and Security Section
  2. Data Center and Card Printing Section
  3. Core Business Applications Section
  4. ICT Strategic Planning and Generic Applications Section
