National Registration Day

BACKGROUND OF NATIONAL REGISTRATION DAY (HPN)

The celebration of National Registration Day (HPN) day began on 1 st October 2013, in conjunction with the date of the issuance of the Paper Identity Card on 1 st October 1948.

HPN is celebrated with the aim of providing recognition of the role of NRD in the matters of registration, issuance, and maintenance of identification documents since its establishment.

The HPN celebration, held in October each year, also aims to honor the records and documents registered as identity and identification in Malaysia. It also aims to set a determination on delivering a better services. The celebration also as an appreciation for the NRD staff who uphold the trust, contributing time and effort to provide the best services to the people and the country.
