MyKad Command Set

MyKad Command Set is a set of programming instructions for the purpose of reading and writing data into government smart card chips issued by the Department of National Registration such as MyKad, MyTentera, MyKid and MyPR. Among the information in the chip that can be accessed are ID card number, name, address, photo and fingerprint.

Eligibility Criteria for JPN Command Set Applicants

Applicant Entity

Applicants must be a registered company, sole proprietorship, government agency, or private body incorporated by the Government of Malaysia.

Technical Scope & System Integration

Applicants must be directly involved in any of the following activities:

Manufacturing or production of card reader hardware;
Development of software or applications for card readers; or
Involvement in Government projects or system developments requiring data extraction and reading of the Identity Card (MyKad) chip contents.

Official Business Registration

Applicants must be legally registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) or incorporated by the Government of Malaysia.

Terms & Conditions Acceptance

Applicants must read, understand, and agree to the Terms and Conditions for Command Set Application prior to submitting their application.

Document Completeness

Applicants must submit the completed application form together with all mandatory supporting documents to the National Registration Department. IMPORTANT: Only complete applications will be processed.
