Application for Citizenship Status Under Article 16 of the Federal Constitution for a Person Born in the Federation Before Merdeka Day (31 August 1957)

for menregister sebagai citizen Malaysia by seseorang that aged 18 years and above that born in the Federation before Merdeka Day.

1. Applicant must be present before the Registrar Citizen semasa mengemukakan application.
2. Applicant must born in the Federation before Merdeka Day (tidak termasuk Sabah and Sarawak).
3. Applicant must aged 18 years and above pada date application.
4. The applicant has resided in the Federation in period 7 tahun terdahulu and not less thanpada 5 tahun pada date application dikemukakan.
5. The applicant intends to reside in the Federation
6. Applicant berkelakuan baik.
7. Applicant mempunyai pengetahuan asas Bahasa Malay.
8. Complete Form A and enclose copies of the required supporting documents.

Applicant is required to be present ke Counter Citizenship Division NRD Headquarters, Putrajaya or State NRD Headquarters/NRD Cawangan and bring the original documents together with copies.

   • Marriage document (if any)
   • Tiga (3) keping photograph terbaru berpassport size berlatar belakangkan warna biru

   • Birth Certificate or Extract Birth Certificate terbaru
   • Certificate Citizen (if any)

   • Birth Certificate or Extract Birth Certificate terbaru (if any)

     Nota: Semua copy fotostat documents-documents sokongan must dibuat on A4-sized paper

1. RM10.00 fees application.
2. RM100.00 fees pengeluaran Certificate Citizen (jika is approved).

Semua application urusan citizenship must menggunakan form original . Form-form bby didapatkan from NRD Headquarters, Putrajaya or mana-mana State NRD Headquarters/Cawangan. For application registration birth abroad and renunciation citizenship, form bby juga didapatkan dari Consular Office abroad.
