General Information
Application for objection to a marriage application at the office of the National Registration Department or at the Malaysian Representative Office Abroad before the declaration of marriage has been issued.

Application Requirements
Caveat applications must be submitted at the NRD counter or at the Malaysian Representative Office abroad according to where the marriage application is being displayed.
Caveats can only be made if there is a marriage application received and before the declaration of marriage has been issued by the registrar
Caveats cannot be submitted arbitrarily without solid evidence and reasonable grounds in accordance with the provisions of the law under Section 39 of Act 164 that is three (3) years imprisonment and a fine not exceeding RM3000.
